    Gulf Provincial Government provided funding boost of K500, 000 to Water PNG’s Kerema Water Supply Project

    Media Release Monday 15th July 2013

     Gulf Governor - Hon.Havila Kavo Presenting a Cheque of K 500,000 for the Kerema Water Supply Project (15/07/2013) Water PNG today received a cheque for K500, 000.00 as a funding boost from the Gulf Provincial Governor Hon. Havila Kavo.
    This funding will assist Water PNG to complete the much needed development and construction of the Stage 1 Kerema Water Supply Project.
    Water PNG’s Kerema Water Supply Project has completed its feasibility studies and is now ready to undergo a 3-phase construction after the tendering and contract awarding processes in the next 2 months.
    Water PNG’s Acting Manager for Major Projects Mr. Ila Renagi said: “ Phase one will consist of the installation of a 30 kilo litre elevated tank on a 13 meter stand with a 3 litres per second bore supplying water to the Kerema; Primary School; Business Centre and the residences along this route to the old BSP bank.

    Kimbe gets New Water Supply

    After more than 20 years of water rationing, the township of Kimbe can now enjoy a 24 hour-7day a week water supply service thanks to Water PNG.
    Water PNG Kimbe branch manager Patrick  Jinimbo said, "With the new 24/7 water supply service, customer confidence has been instilled once again."
    "Already a satisfactory and favourable response is evident from the positive comments from the public and community. Long time disconnected customers are reconnecting and new connection requests are being recieved in more numbers than previous years."
