Following the ground breaking ceremony of the construction of the new water supply in Kerema late last year, Water PNG in its recent periodic site visit reported that the stage one construction was on track and work will be completed by the end of the year.

Water PNG yesterday announced that Billy Imar, former Eda Ranu CEO, is the new Chief Operations Officer (COO) for the organization. During the Management briefing yesterday, Chief Executive – Managing Director Mr. Raka Taviri Jr. made the announcement following recent management changes and appointments.

Water PNG is leading efforts to clamp down on massive illegal use of water in its 19 provincial and district Business Centers throughout the country. Following a month-long amnesty period Water PNG recently deployed a task force to clamp down on water bandits who have increased massively and are drastically affecting its operations.
